SCI Summary: SCI supports people with disabilities, behavioral challenges, medically complex needs, transitioning youth, the elderly, and other populations using Maryland Department of Health's Targeted Case Management and Supports Planning work models.
Position Summary: The Marketing & Communications Manager will play a pivotal role in advancing the brand, marketing, and experiential engagement strategy of Service Coordination Inc. (SCI), a nonprofit dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities and complex needs. Reporting to the Director of Brand Experience, this newly created role will lead the development and execution of strategic marketing, branding, and communications initiatives that strengthen SCI's visibility, deepen stakeholder relationships, and amplify its mission-driven impact. This role will oversee content development, digital strategy, campaign execution, and experiential marketing, ensuring alignment with SCI's objectives. The Marketing & Communications Manager will manage website content, support awards and recognition efforts, lead engagement and awareness campaigns, and develop compelling cross-channel content. Additionally, this position will drive event marketing and experiential initiatives, positioning SCI as a leader in case management services. By applying innovative marketing strategies, the Marketing & Communications Manager will increase brand awareness, drive engagement, and foster deeper connections with partners, stakeholders, and the communities SCI serves. This role requires a creative, detail-oriented, and results-driven professional with a passion for nonprofit marketing and a commitment to SCI's mission.

Essential Duties:
Marketing & Brand Strategy
- Develop and implement integrated marketing and communication strategies that align with SCI's mission and goals.
- Collaborate with Director of Brand Experience to build and measure SCI brand awareness, including promotions, partnerships, activation events, and other initiatives to elevate the brand, ensuring consistency across all internal and external channels.
- Manage website content, including SEO optimization and user experience enhancements.
- Identify and support awards, recognition programs, and public relations efforts to elevate SCI's industry presence.
- Translate organizational objectives into strategic marketing plans that drive impact.
Experiential & Event Marketing
- Develop and execute event-based marketing campaigns that reinforce SCI's leadership in case management services.
- Manage community engagement initiatives, conferences, and key events to expand SCI's reach.
- Facilitate, support and track external-facing SCI engagements, appearances, and events, supporting on-site execution as needed
- Manage the development of promotional materials, digital assets, and multimedia storytelling for events.
Content & Digital Engagement
- Develop compelling cross-channel content, including website copy, newsletter content, email campaigns, written and video storytelling.
- Collaborate on innovative digital strategies to grow engagement and impact.
- Manage content creation efforts, ensuring alignment with SCI's brand identity and communication goals.
- Analyze campaign performance metrics and apply data-driven insights to optimize marketing efforts.
Collaboration & Leadership
- Partner with teams, leadership, and external vendors to execute strategic marketing initiatives.
- Serve as a brand steward, ensuring all marketing materials reflect SCI's mission, values, and brand standards.
- Support the growth and development of the Marketing & Communications team, providing mentorship and strategic direction.
- Other duties as assigned in support of brand awareness and experience.

Education Required:
• Bachelors Degree
Experience Required:
- 7+ years of experience in leading brand initiatives and executing marketing campaigns.
- Knowledge and passion for brand development, creative marketing strategy, experiential marketing, current trends and best practices.
- Strong storytelling, content creation, and audience engagement skills, with expertise in digital marketing, SEO, and campaign execution.
- Experience managing organizational processes within a marketing and communications team and with other teams.
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills. Proficiency in market research methodologies.
- Experience managing website content and digital engagement tools and strategies.
- Ability to develop and execute multi-channel marketing strategies that drive engagement and translate strategic goals into thoughtful, tactical plans.
- Excellent writing, editing, presentation, and communication skills.
- Strong project management and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Experience in event marketing and community engagement, ensuring SCI's brand presence at key industry events.
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, creative, and self-starter mindset.
- Experience with digital asset management tool (ie. Brandfolder), project management tools, website development tool (ie. Wordpress), Meltwater (or social media scheduling platforms), marketing software (Adobe Creative Suite and CRM), and applications (Web analytics, Google Adwords etc.)
- Ability to exhibit strong interpersonal skills and build relationships at all organizational levels.

Physical Demands: Generally, presents standard office environment. Must be able to remain in a stationary position >95% of the time. Continually operates a computer, keyboard and mouse, and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, printer, and mobile Smartphone device. Constantly positions self to comfortably maintain computer equipment. May occasionally be required to move about in an office setting or position office equipment weighing between 10-25 pounds. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Ability to operate a motor vehicle. The person in this position frequently communicates with other people. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
IT Roles must be able to position self to maintain computers and equipment, including under desks and in server room(s). Frequently moves equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
