Key Responsibilities:

Animal Care: Assist with monitoring animal health, administering medication, maintaining animal comfort, and providing post-operative care. Disinfect kennels, exam rooms, and other areas where animals are treated.

Examinations and Procedures: Restrain animals during exams, vaccinations, and medical procedures, and assist veterinarians and technicians as needed.

Medical Records: Accurately record animal information, medical history, and treatment plans.

Client Communication: Greet clients, answer phone calls, and provide basic information about animal care and treatment.

Clinic Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized clinic environment, restocking supplies and performing basic cleaning tasks.

Laboratory Tasks: Assist with laboratory tests, such as preparing samples and running tests, and familiarize yourself with laboratory equipment.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent

Basic knowledge of animal behavior, anatomy, and medical terminology

Ability to lift 50 pounds and handle animals of varying sizes and temperaments

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively

Familiarity with Fear Free handling

Proficiency in setting up and breaking down surgery rooms and dental procedures in a timely manner

Compensation and Benefits:

Starting base pay: $21-$25 per hour
