Maron Marvel has an immediate opening for an electronic file clerk to join its growing Houston office. The ideal candidate should be highly motivated with a strong ability to multi-task and be well organized in a fast-paced environment.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Complete all copy/print/scan requests from lawyers and staff including using various types of binding methods, collation, tabbing, etc.
- Perform quality review of each project upon completion and deliver to requesting party.
- Accurately collect, sort and distribute incoming U.S. mail, inter-office mail and overnight packages daily.
- Meter outgoing mail and prepare certified mail for delivery.
- Log and deliver all incoming FedEx, UPS or other packages.
- Assist with conference room set-ups as needed.
- Order and organize supplies for mailroom and general office use.
- Maintain all printer stations: keep printers and copiers stocked with paper, troubleshoot service issues and escalate to vendor, as required.
- Maintain kitchen: load/unload dishwasher, keep kitchen supplies stocked and wipe down counters as necessary.
- Assist with file closing: enter closing information into the firm's case management software; load files into boxes and send to offsite storage facility.
- Answer all general incoming calls and other receptionist duties as needed.
- Other duties as assigned, as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of prior office services and customer service experience required.
- Law firm experienced preferred.
- Attention to detail and good organizational and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be comfortable with significant walking/standing and be able to comfortably lift 40-50lbs. (box of copy paper, etc.).
- Demonstrated competency in basic computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
