Dessert Holdings is looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our growing team at the HQ office in St Paul, MN. The primary function of this role is management of customer receivables, trade and non-trade deductions and broker commission payments.
This is an onsite position with flexibility to work from home one day per week.
The typical hiring range for this role is $58,000 to $68,000 annually and is based on several factors such as education, work experience, skills, certifications, location, etc. In addition to pay, Dessert Holdings offers benefits such as a choice of comprehensive medical plans, dental and vision insurance, paid vacation and holidays, and retirement contribution to all eligible employees.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Timely and accurate application of daily cash receipts
- Research and accounting for customer trade and non-trade deductions
- Coordinate with sales representatives, brokers and customers regarding deduction activity
- Manage customer aging balances to meet KPI goals; work directly with customers to resolve past due amounts and recover unauthorized deductions
- Prepare deduction packages for approval
- Prepare and process broker commission payments
- Process credit memos, as needed
- Comply with policies and procedures; Identify and recommend process improvement
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related professional certifications
- At least 2+ years with high volume Accounts Receivable experience
- Consumer Packaged Goods/Trade Spending/Deduction accounting experience a plus
- Strong working knowledge of Excel, complex ERPs (Microsoft Dynamics 365, Navision); Trade Deduction software experience a plus (FlintFox, Exceedra)
- Agility in learning new software; Ability to simultaneously manage multiple systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- High level of flexibility in dynamic environment
