The Financial Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the accurate reporting of actual and forecast information in BPC for Andrew Group, through coordination with various departments and BU/regional controllers.  This role will involve the accumulation of support needed to input all the supplemental BPC reporting requirements, as well as run the actual direct loads from SAP to BPC monthly.  They will become a BPC subject matter expert.  They will be responsible for researching any reporting discrepancies and issues when comparing SAP to BPC reporting and communicating such issues to the team for resolution.  They will collaborate with various departments including Finance, Accounting, Legal, HR, etc.  This role will be virtual in Connecticut.

You will be responsible for:

  • BPC reporting (help lead the actual BPC reporting for Andrew Group, including the overall coordination of support and documentation needed to comply with all reporting requirements) – via training from acquisition integration team
    • Coordination/execution of direct loads to BPC
    • Supplemental BPC reporting (roll forwards, breakouts, anything not direct loaded)
    • Stat-to-GAAP journals, as needed, to conform with Amphenol BPC reporting
    • Follow up with regional controllers to resolve any inter/intra company mismatches
    • Crosschecks and clearing of any discrepancies
  • SAP – become familiar with and able to run Balance sheets / P&L's as needed for analyses
    • Ability to find and research drivers for changes in certain accounts
    • Identifying any mapping issues between SAP and BPC
  • Track and monitor, with the assistance of Regional controllers, any excess cash to lend intercompany
    • Working with regional controllers and treasury to track this mid-month
    • Assist, as needed, with the analysis of Financial Statement packages, once input, including high-risk areas such as inventory, accounts receivable, capital expenditures, etc.
    • Ensure all BPC reporting is completed and compliant – advise as needed
    • Assist group management with the semi-annual hard close review process, including testing the operation's control environment
    • Assist in-scope operations to prepare for internal audit and Deloitte's visits
    • Backup liaison between Andrew controllers and Amphenol requirements – whenever Asst Group Controller is not available

  • Collaborate with other departments and develop new process and procedures, as necessary, to optimize efficiency, especially with BPC
  • Owning of Cost center form/process as well as the SAP cost center hierarchy.
    • Coordination of new cost centers and hierarchy mappings
    • Analysis of shared Andrew level costs and managerial support, including accounting, IT, and HR
  • Assist the Group Controller on Andrew-specific local analyses, as needed
  • Help with special projects, as appropriate

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting / financial analysis role.
  • BPC knowledge strongly recommended, SAP knowledge a plus
  • Some familiarity with Amphenol's BPC close process
  • Strong written/oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively on a team or independently with a track record of delivering results on time with attention to detail
  • Proven ability to multi-task and work with changing priorities and deadlines – especially during close week.
  • Must be able to adapt and embrace change.
  • Proven organizational and time management skills.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook).
