Plant Operator Trainee - Wastewater Treatment

Here's What You Will Do In This Role:

  • Monitor & Report – Use SCADA computer systems to track wastewater treatment plants and lift stations, reporting alarms as needed.
  • Inspect & Maintain – Perform physical checks of treatment facilities, lift stations, sewer infrastructure, preventive maintenance and repairs, 
    mulching, grading, painting, and tree trimming.
  • Work Below Ground – Perform tasks involving lift stations, manholes, and other underground systems.
  • Optimize Treatment Processes – Assist in adjusting chemical feeds and treatment procedures based on lab data.
  • Transport Materials – Operate dump trucks to move dewatered Bio Solids as needed.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:  The starting hourly wage is $20.66 per hour and will increase to $21.48 per hour after 6 months of successful probation

Ready to step into this opportunity? Here's what you'll need.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • A valid driver's license and be insurable under the City of Branson's motor vehicle coverage when operating a vehicle as a part of the position. 
  • Be willing to work any shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary to have operations 24 hours a day/7 day a week.
  • Be able to pass background investigation, physical capability examination, and drug and alcohol screenings.

Requirements to be met after your start date, if not currently held

  • Class "D" Missouri Wastewater Treatment Certification of Competency within 18 months of start date.  
  • Possess a valid Class B CDL with Air Brake endorsement within 12 months of hire date.
Preferred Skills & Experience: What sets you apart
  • One (1) year of experience in performing semi-skilled building, mechanical, construction, or ground maintenance tasks.
