Trails Coordinator

Love trails and the great outdoors?
As a Trails Coordinator, you will plan, develop, and enhance our city's trail network.
From collaborating with community partners to ensuring trails are safe and accessible,
this role combines creativity, and a passion for outdoor recreation.

 

What You'll Do:

  • Design & Construction Support – Assist in designing, planning, and executing trail projects.
  • Enhance Trail Infrastructure – Develop signage, amenities, and operational improvements, create regulations and action plans for trail use and maintenance.
  • Build Partnerships – Collaborate with government agencies, community events, and stakeholders to expand the trail network.
  • Secure Funding – Develop partnerships and seek funding for regional trail projects.
  • Promote Education – Conduct training and educational programs to enhance trail awareness.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:  The starting hourly wage is $24.67 per hour and will increase to $25.65 per hour after 6 months of successful probation.

A High school diploma or GED equivalent.
A Bachelor's degree from an institution of higher learning accredited by the U.S. Department of Education through one of its regional accrediting agencies with the primary focus of education
  being in Natural Resource Management, Forestry, Parks and Recreation or a related field.
      *Associates degree in related field with a minimum of four (4) years directly related experience in trail design, construction, and maintenance may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree requirement
Three (3) years of work experience in a related field.  
 Be at least 18 years of age.
 Possess a valid driver's license and must be insurable under the City of Branson's motor vehicle coverage when operating a vehicle as a part of the position. 
 Be able to pass a background investigation and drug and alcohol screenings.

WORK HOURS:        Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
WORK LOCATION:  City of Branson, Missouri; In and around the City of Branson, Missouri; This position requires work to be performed onsite.
