EHS Supervisor

The Role -
Amphenol Aerospace Operations is seeking a Environmental Health and Safety Supervisor to work out of its state-of-the-art facility in Mesa, AZ.
Basic Purpose and Summary:
- Responsible for providing support in environmental, health, and safety programs, by complying with regulatory and operating standards
- Responsible for coordinating activities and aligning practices with Sidney, NY facility
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Uphold and improve safety policies and procedures to meet regulatory requirements and ensure a safe work environment for all team members
- Maintain expertise on interpreting federal, state, and local EHS regulations
- Lead the site EHS Committee
- Conduct OSHA required safety trainings
- Lead EHS audits and inspections to support compliance certification as required
- Manage the Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) program
- Manage and maintain the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) system
- Facilitate accident investigation and root cause identification for work-related injuries and illnesses, on-the-job accidents, or near misses as required
- Manage Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety equipment purchases
- Manage chemical inventory
- Uphold hazardous waste regulations specific to ADEQ and EPA
- Oversee Medical Surveillance Programs
- Oversee Worker’s Compensation Cases and Return to work program
- Facilitate compliance driven projects through identification, evaluation, equipment selection, purchasing, installation and training/new policy implementation
- Develop and manage key metrics related to EHS performance including Leading Indicators
- Interface with regulatory and public sector EHS agencies and authorities as appropriate
- Manage and complete reporting related to site Environmental Permits
- Manage site environmental compliance
- Manage reimbursement accounts
- PPE Assessments/Facility Assessment
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management, Environmental Science, Chemistry or related field
- Knowledge of safety policies, rules and regulations for OSHA, EPA, and other applicable industry standards
- Knowledge of local environmental regulations
- ASP, CSP, CHMM designation preferred
- 4-7 years: Experience making decisions affecting employee health and safety or facility compliance
Physical Requirements:
- Typing, sitting, bending
- Interaction with operations (walking, lifting, bending, climbing stairs)
- Occasional travel
