Scheduler/Planner – Demand & Import

Scheduler/Planner – Demand & Import

Division/Location: Amphenol- FCI Etters, PA 

This position is not eligible for Visa Sponsorship or Relocation.

Job Summary

Fulltime 8 AM-5 PM. Initiates, tracks and expedites orders to meet customer needs and internal requirements for imported product.  Responsible to achieve on-time delivery and inventory management goals for imported products.  Responsible to update information and distribute reports to keep internal and external customers informed of status.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities

  • Communicates to internal and external customers and foreign manufacturing sites in order to receive and give information.
  • Plan and schedule orders from subsidiaries
  • Verifies incoming shipments and outgoing product orders in order to insure proper match of supply and demand
  • Forecast and achieve monthly billings from imported product
  • Maintains records of imported product orders in order to reconcile with accounting
  • Expedites orders in order to satisfy customer needs
  • Maintains accurate lead-times for imported product
  • Maintains part number databases for imported product
  • Tracks orders in order to identify status and insure on- time delivery
  • Recommends inventory levels in order to meet the objective of J.I.T.
  • Updates procedures, manuals in order to have latest revisions and resources.
  • Communicate extensively to foreign site personnel to meet expedites, cancel requests or push out requests.
  • Provide Proforma Invoices to foreign sites, work with them for tracking details, work with warehouse to process po receipt and bill only.
  • Maintain dates in QAD based on committed ship dates from non EDI suppliers.
  • Maintain ASN’s in QAD from non EDI suppliers
  • Works flexible hours to accommodate live communications with foreign subsidiaries

 

Essential skills and experience: 

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient with Database software; Internet software; Inventory software; Manufacturing software; Order processing systems; Word/Excel/Access/Outlook.
  • Must have keyboarding skills appropriate for efficient, timely responses via correspondence and order entry/processing. 
  • Microsoft Office and Computer skills required
  • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills
  • Working within and navigating ERP system
  • Embraces personal and professional development
  • Desire to make own decisions and take responsibility for outcome
  • Advanced organizational skills with ability to handle multiple assignments
  • Self-starting ability
  • Strong team player, ability to work with other employees

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in a technical discipline along with current, related experience; or equivalent work training and at least 5-years of current experience in a similar role.
  • Must demonstrate an effective, pleasant telephone manner.
  • Must be thorough, with strong attention to detail/follow-up
