Job Summary: IT Supervisor - Network Operations
The IT Supervisor - Network Operations oversees the daily operations, planning, and management of a network infrastructure. This position is responsible for supervising a help desk team, managing network infrastructure, virtualized environments, storage, backup solutions, telecommunications, cloud services administration, and monitoring cybersecurity incidents. Additionally, the role involves implementing and maintaining security measures to protect information systems.
Key Responsibilities:
· Drive the development and execution of cybersecurity initiatives, policies, and procedures.
· Oversee configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network infrastructure and Windows Servers.
· Ensure network infrastructure operates at optimal performance and security standards, including the administration and optimization of virtualized environments, such as server creation and resource allocation.
· Oversee the management of storage and backup systems, ensuring data integrity and disaster recovery readiness.
· Cloud Services Administration: Support enterprise cloud services, including email, collaboration tools, and identity management. Manage user accounts, licensing, and security policies such as multi-factor authentication and single sign-on.
· Endpoint Detection & Response: Deploy and manage endpoint security solutions to protect against threats.
· Apply IT security principles, policies, and practices to assess risk factors and advise on vulnerabilities, implementing protection against unauthorized access, data breaches, and system disruptions.
· Cybersecurity Incident Handling: Respond to cybersecurity incidents and mitigate their impact on the organization's systems, users, and information.
· Provide technical support and troubleshooting for ERP systems and related applications.
· Provide end-user support for software applications, including troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues.
· Ensure proper scoping and standardization of IT equipment purchases to meet company standards and budget constraints.
· Apply necessary updates, including BIOS, firmware, service updates, and security patches.
· Manage software licensing, ensuring compliance with vendor agreements.
Qualifications:
· Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
· Strong knowledge of PCs, servers, networks, software, hardware, and telecommunications equipment.
· Proficiency in using cybersecurity tools and technologies.
· Experience troubleshooting network issues and resolving support tickets.
· Strong understanding of networking protocols, firewalls, and enterprise networking concepts.
· Lead local site resources by resolving escalated issues and supporting local and remote IT support end-user questions.
