How You'll Help Us Connect the World:
We are looking for an Accountant to join our team in Goa. This role is responsible to support the GST department in all GST related issues and timely preparation of the required submissions. Ensures that statutory dues are remitted on a timely manner. Supports the department in all audit related tasks. Support in preparation of monthly / quarterly / Annual GST returns.
Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Functions):
In general, this will include the following tasks:
- Coordinating with all internal stake holders for collection of necessary documents required for purpose of assessment and appeals.
- Coordinating with all internal stake holders in connection with GST related issues /clarifications.
- Provide day to day support to team members and carry out task assigned by Manager -Accounts.
- Review of eligibility of Input tax credit.
- Coordinate with the Agency/Consultants for ensuring timely filing of returns.
- Reconciliation of returns with General Ledger and posting of entries if required.
- Support for MIS reporting
- Support the team in the Finance Month Close activities
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, EXPERIENCE:
Qualifications: B. Com/M.Com
Experience: Hands on experience on GST matters and a good understanding of the GST requirements for 1 to 3 yrs
Knowledge – Working knowledge in areas of accounting and GST. Knowledge of ERP (SAP) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Skills – Good numeric skills. Detailed oriented with ability to check and interpret documents. Analytical, problem solving and communication skills. Strong IT literacy - MS Office, Accounting packages, and ideally SAP. Fluent written and verbal English. Work independently and meet deadlines.

- Follow procedures and processes defined for all entities, for the allocated country while also working to understand how the processes can be improved/ streamlined to help the entity.
- Support Shared Services in completing all accounting responsibilities and preparing all records and reports at the committed time.
- Work on understanding the root cause for errors allocated and analyze and highlight process standardization and improvement opportunities
