Help Desk Analyst

UB Greensfelder LLP has a full-time opening for a Help Desk Analyst in our IT Department working in our St. Louis office.  This position provides technical support to internal personnel. Responsible for analysis, diagnosis and resolution of users' problems, which may range from straightforward to more complicated technical issues with various software. This position is eligible for occasional hybrid work after an initial onboarding period.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Acts as a single point of contact for phone calls and emails from personnel regarding IT issues and queries.
  • Receives, logs and manages calls from internal personnel via telephone and email.
  • Troubleshoots IT related problems from in-house software to hardware, such as Laptops, PCs and Printers.
  • Assists users with more complex features with various software.
  • Escalate unresolved calls to the infrastructure support team.
  • Take ownership of user problems and follow up the status of problems on behalf of the user and communicate progress in a timely manner.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Manager of IT Training & Support Services. Responsibilities may be revised as the needs of the Firm change.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Associates degree with a technical major, such as computer science or business administration.
  • 3+ years help desk experience in a professional services environment strongly preferred. Previous Law Firm experience a plus.
  • Strong familiarity with Microsoft office and Adobe software.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate by phone and provide information with ordinary courtesy and tact.
  • Must work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well with people at all levels (technical, non-technical, etc.) are essential.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills are a must.
