Are you an accomplished Chef with a keen eye for home management and an impeccable sense of organization? We are seeking an experienced and professional Chef/House Manager who will take full responsibility for our clients’ residence and ensure the seamless operation of this fine home. The successful candidate will blend the roles of an accomplished private Chef and an exceptional home manager and enjoy both components of this role.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare daily high quality and beautifully presented lunch and dinner for an executive couple, sourcing the best ingredients and maintaining fully stocked kitchens and pantries (On average one week per month)
• Oversee all aspects of home operations, ensuring the residence is immaculately organized and clean. Manage household maintenance calendar, oversee vendors, and ensure emergency repairs are handled swiftly
• Attend to guests' needs and ensure every aspect of their visit is met with courtesy and precision
• Lead a team of household staff, coaching and ensuring smooth operations. Oversee the efficient coordination of vendors and contractors
• Maintain a comprehensive house manual, manage household petty cash, and handle vehicle upkeep
• Manage special projects (like seasonal décor or garage organization), run errands, and perform any other duties requested by the principals.

 

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Chef and House Manager in a fine home setting, with excellent verifiable references
• Culinary degree or equivalent training
• Professional demeanor, positive attitude, and strong work ethic
• Impeccable organizational skills and keen attention to detail
• Ability to lead and coach staff effectively, ensuring smooth operations
• Highly discreet, trustworthy, and committed to maintaining the privacy of the principals
• Must have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
• Strong communication skills and a willingness to go above and beyond in supporting the principals

Compensation & Benefits:

• Compensation range $150,000 to $190,000 commensurate with experience
• General hours are Monday to Friday when the principals are not in residence. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when the principals are in residence
• Comprehensive benefits package. Relocation available for the right candidate
