Summer Internship 2025 Mechanical Analysis Engineer

The Mechanical Analysis Engineer Intern aims to develop a Creo-integrated Mathcad workbook to automate ASCE 7 filing for PE stamping. 

 

Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Under the guidance of our Lead Structures Engineer (LMTT-Structures) 
  • Develop a Mathcad workbook  
  • Develop a process to link FEA output to populate the workbook 
  • Work with LMTT and PE firm to approve the process 
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

 

Required Skills/Abilities:  

  • Strong oral and written communication skills required. 

  • Good interpersonal skills required to work effectively with others. 

  • Analytical ability to solve complex problems. 

 

Education and Experience: 

  • College undergraduate (or graduate) pursuing a Mechanical Engineering degree, or other Civil Engineering degree. 

  • If they have passed the FE exam, this can be used as experience towards the PE licensing. 

  • 3D CAD required, CREO desired. 

  • FEA class desired (Ansys preferred). 

  • Must have completed the third year of the undergraduate program. 

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
