Engineer II, Mechanical System Design

We are seeking an experienced Engineer II, Mechanics to be based in Buchdorf, Germnay to join our team. The Engineer II, Mechanics provides innovative, and practical solutions to enable simple, efficient and more sustainable wireless connections, working with our customers to create mobile capabilities for a better tomorrow. He designs new products based on internal and external customer requirements, in respect to target most suitable technology and most efficient production process. He also evaluates and proceeds DFM suggestions from vendors to achieve best producibility and cost.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design and develop repeater products, Distributed Antenna Systems including 19" rack design, the necessary test and automation devices for manufacturing, keeping in mind the budget, timelines and other essential resources.
• Use CAD and 3D CAD programs to plan mechanical systems, system components (sub-modules) and cables. Create related technical drawings (manufacturing and assembly drawings).
• Report to Manager, Mechanical Engineering & Layout, and report to the company regarding the status of each project.
• Cooperate with international suppliers in the areas of machining, casting, plastic and sheet metal processing as well as automation technologies.
• Develop and implement new approaches, technologies, and perform regular tests and experiments to determine how to better improve a component.
• Research and keep up with the dynamic technology and trends in the mechanical design spectrum.
• Troubleshoot problems and devise solutions to resolve them.
• Cooperate in international development groups with colleagues in Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, China, US, and others.

 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
• Prior experience working as a mechanical design engineer (minimum 5 years) or equivalent.
• Experience working with tools such as Solidworks, Creo, and AutoCAD.
• Strong verbal, written and communications skills in German and English.
