In this role, you’ll be responsible for everything from anesthesia monitoring to post-surgical care, helping ensure our patients receive top-notch care during complex surgeries like orthopedic, oncologic, and soft tissue procedures. As a Licensed Veterinary Technician, you’ll assist the surgeon by preparing instruments, administering pain management protocols, and ensuring our furry friends remain comfortable during recovery. No day is the same when you’re assisting in advanced specialty surgeries, so be prepared to jump right in and bring your A-game!
Here’s a glimpse of what you’ll be doing as our new Licensed Veterinary Technician in surgery:
- Anesthesia Monitoring: You’ll manage anesthetic cases under the guidance of our surgeon. You’ll ensure the patient’s vital signs are stable throughout the procedure—no pressure, just precision!
- Advanced Surgical Assistance: Be the superhero behind the scenes, passing instruments, preparing surgical equipment, and providing direct support during specialty surgeries.
- Pain Management: You’ll manage everything from local anesthesia to epidurals, ensuring our patients are comfy during and after surgery. They’ll be pain-free thanks to your expert touch.
- Post-Surgical Care: You’ll monitor our patients closely in recovery, adjusting pain management and ensuring they’re as comfortable as possible during the first few critical hours.
- Surgical Logs & Updates: Keeping detailed records is key. You’ll make sure everything is documented, from pre-op to post-op assessments, anesthesia logs, and anything else in between.
Our ideal candidate? A Licensed Veterinary Technician with at least 3 years of experience in an anesthesia and surgical setting. You’re not just about the technical skills—you’re compassionate, driven, and ready to be part of a team that values integrity and growth.
