Housekeeper

A warm, NW Washington, DC, executive couple with young children is seeking a professional Housekeeper to perform the daily hands-on cleaning of their beautiful primary residence.

 

Responsibilities:

• Work alongside the other household staff (House Manager and Nannies)
• Perform the daily and specialty cleaning of the home, including care of specialty materials and surfaces, and attending to a cleaning schedule
• Care for the principals’ clothing and wardrobes (including laundry, ironing, pressing, etc.).
• Assist with provisioning, light food prep, and running errands

 

Qualifications:

• Must have prior experience working as a housekeeper in a fine home for a private employer
• Exceptional hands-on cleaning and laundry skills required
• A sunny disposition, someone who enjoys their work
• A self-starter who works well as part of a team
• Happy to accept direction from the principals and House Manager

 

Schedule:

Generally, Monday – Friday, daytime hours (e.g., 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM), with occasional flexibility required for extended or weekend hours.

 

Compensation:

Compensation of $45 -$50/hour offered, depending on experience, with an excellent benefits packaged that includes medical insurance and a 401(k).
