How You'll Help Us Connect the World:

This role will report into the Operations Manager, but you will have direct daily contact with multiple teams across the business including Engineering, Sales, NPI and PLM.

We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Manufacturing Production Planner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating our production operations. This role is critical to ensure our manufacturing processes run smoothly, efficiently, and cost-effectively to meet customer demands.

Your ability to build a constructive relationship with several supplying parties and communicate in an effective way will be key to thrive in the role.

You Will Make an Impact By:

  • Establishing daily work priorities/schedules within the department to expedite production. Modifying priorities/schedules according to work order specifications, availability of labor, materials, parts, machines, and equipment.
  • Working with Coordinators, Operations Supervisors, and other Planners to execute these schedules.
  • Ensuring all orders are shipped on schedule and as economically as possible. Providing input to management to reschedule shipments in cases of design changes, labor and material shortages, backlogs, and customer readiness issues. Monitoring forward load reports and schedules to recommend overtime and staffing levels for work centers.
  • Releasing orders to various operational groups and/or vendors to maintain production flow to meet customer request dates.
  • Working with vendors to ensure the best possible delivery dates and shipment routes are secured.
  • Reviewing stock records and material requirements to determine if on-hand materials are sufficient to complete production orders on schedule. Resolves problems with inventory or material shortages through review of SAP system and transaction documentation.
  • Taking action in SAP as a result of Engineering Change Notices, scrap, etc., and adjusts pending work orders and inventory accordingly.

Required Qualifications for Consideration:

  • Bachelor's degree in business with 2-5 years' experience in a similar role and manufacturing environment.
  • Validated ability to drive successful inventory/working capital strategies, lead time responsiveness and customer service levels.
  • Organizational capability to sustain results through SAP systems.
  • Solid understanding of Supply Chain and order processing.
  • Experience with SAP and reporting tools.
  • Relevant production or materials planning experience.
