Housekeeper Upper East Side NYC
Position Summary:
Our clients are hiring a professional and experienced Housekeeper to join their team. This individual will oversee the care of their home on the UES.
This is a hands-on cleaning role ideal for a professional who works well independently and takes pride in maintaining elevated standards. The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail, happily attend to the principals' preferences, and manage multiple projects efficiently.
An individual with a cheerful and quiet disposition who enjoys taking complete care of the residence and stepping in to help as needed, will thrive in this role.
There is a laundress who handles the ironing for the family and a Nanny who cares for the children.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily and deep cleaning of the home
- Care for fine materials and finishes, including silver, wood, china, crystal, and artwork
- Handle household laundry tasks (except the ironing)
- Help manage food and beverage inventory, including groceries and fridge rotation
- Complete organizational projects to maintain household efficiency
- Run errands
- Assist with some pet care for the family's well-trained dog
- Travel to the Hamptons weekly for one month during the summer is preferred.
Qualifications:
- Strong Housekeeping skills with exceptional knowledge of care for fine materials
- Prior experience as a Housekeeper in a private home or luxury hospitality setting with excellent, verifiable references
- Enjoys working in a busy household with four school-aged children and a friendly dog
- Self-starter who can map out a plan to ensure the home is maintained beautifully
- Personable, discreet, and able to read the room
- A valid driver's license is required, candidates do not need to own a vehicle
Schedule:
This is a full-time, year-round position, generally, Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm with flexibility required.
Compensation:
Compensation of $45-$48 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Benefits include a healthcare stipend.
