Operations Manager

As Operations Manager of our Wichita, KS facility you will lead and support teams of associates by example in the sorting and moving of freight in a safe and timely manner.  You will help ensure that loading and delivery schedules are understood and adhered to, in effect, keeping the daily operation running smooth and on-track. You will be responsible for the implementation of methods and procedures that will ensure the most efficient and economical routing and movement of customer products.

The position of Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all logistical activities in our Springfield, Missouri facility and outlying territories. This fast paced and rewarding position is one of leadership as you will be leading by example and giving direction of employees and individual contributors to ensure the successful execution of daily tasks and activities. Activities include the loading and unloading of freight, sorting, and scanning of product, routing, and then of course, the final-mile delivery of product.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily receipt, sortation & outbound distribution of product
• Monitor the on-timeliness of all routes and releases as required by the customer(s)
• Monitor warehouse efficiency and performance
• Coordinate with clients, vendors & independent contract drivers
• Assist, coach and motivate associates 
• Supports staffing, company drivers, warehouse associates as to general operating procedures to ensure effectiveness, efficiency, and safety
• Follow company policies, uphold professional standards, and perform all work in a manner respectful of others
• Assist in the training of new department personnel

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

• Experience in the logistics industry
• Strong computer skills
• Team attitude/work well with others
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability and desire to provide excellent customer service
• Strong problem-solving skills

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Driver's License
• Must be able to obtain/maintain a DOT Medical Card certification
• High School Diploma/GED
