Operations Coordinator

Summary

Anderson Trucking Service is hiring for our Laredo Texas location!  The Operations Coordinator role in ATS Specialized will support cross-border services into and out of Mexico by tracking and tracing equipment, entering and updating loads in the system, managing reports, and assisting in the Customs process. This role will work closely with ATS Drivers, internal staff, and customers. They must have the ability to be organized, work in a fast-paced environment, and manage multiple tasks at once.

 

Education and Experience

  1. A 2–4-year degree in finance, accounting or a related field, or 4 + years of related field experience.
  2. Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly preferred but not required.
  3. Must have strong decision-making, and problem-solving skills, detail oriented, team player, and customer service skills are required. 
  4. Strong interpersonal skills; able to establish trust and rapport with all levels of staff.  Able to relate effectively to diverse cultures.
  5. Must be self-motivated, able to multi-task and work independently.
  6. Must be analytical with the ability to apply data.
  7. Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  8. Must be proficient in responding to internal and external customer situations, responding to customer needs as required.
  9. Must be able to think creatively and provide creative contributions to projects.
  10. Must be able to demonstrate a proactive commitment to ATS corporate values and the success of all staff.
  11. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) required.
  12. Excellent communication skills (written, listening and verbal).
  13. Must be willing and able to travel occasionally, including overnight travel.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Document imaging and billing verification.
  2. Laredo trailer pool management.
  3. Generate and provide ATS drivers with the interchange paperwork.
  4. Will be responsible for load entries and updates ensuring accuracy.
  5. Coordinate the re-tarping of ATS equipment with Mexican partner carriers.
  6. Work with internal staff to provide updates on load tracking.
  7. Daily, weekly, and monthly reporting of trailer pool inventory, stored goods inventory, load tracking, trailer damage recovery, etc.
  8. Will be responsible for keeping the CSR team notified of load arrivals.
  9. Understands and consistently performs in accordance with ATS Mission, Vision, and Values.
  10. Support ATS’ culture by aligning actions, behaviors, performance, and decisions in accordance with the Company’s values as set forth in our All-Employee Competencies.
  11. Complete work responsibilities outside of normal business hours as needed and infrequent travel may be required. 
  12. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  1. Constantly in a stationary position and occasionally will move around.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • The anticipated hourly pay range for this position is between $21.00 - $26.00.  Hourly pay rate offered is determined by relevant experience, education, certifications, and geographic location as compared to others doing substantially similar work . In addition to the hourly rate of pay, employees may be eligible for performance-based incentives, which can vary depending on individual and/or company performance.
