Director of Properties

Our Boston client is a private principal seeking a Director of Residences to lead a team that cares for the family's residential properties. The right candidate has both experience working for a private family leading successful domestic teams and a deep understanding of the annual preventive maintenance, and the level of hospitality required in these residences.

 

Candidates with a "roll-up your sleeves" mindset will be successful in this role.

 

Position Overview:

• Location: Based in Boston with travel across New England and Southern Florida.
• Company: Private Boston-based client
• Compensation: $190,000 - $220,000 annually, plus benefits (annual bonus, health benefits, 401(k), etc.)

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage a portfolio of residential properties.
• Lead a team of Property and Estate Managers, ensuring operational efficiency and concierge services for the principals.
• Use Asana to manage work orders, projects, and daily tasks.
• Conduct property inspections, manage maintenance schedules, and oversee vendor relationships.
• Develop and implement emergency response plans for properties.
• Participate in monthly cross-functional meetings and lead special projects for team efficiency.
• Provide feedback, training, and support to team members.

 

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in private estate management.
• Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
• Strong leadership abilities and discretion.
• Familiarity with Asana, Microsoft Office, Adobe, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
• Experience in design and construction processes.
• Valid driver's license and legal authorization to work in the U.S.

 

Schedule & Work Environment:

• Monday to Friday with flexibility for extended hours and weekends when necessary.
