We are looking to add a Corporate Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to join our Corporate EHS team. This is a remote role that will allow you to work from anywhere around the globe with a preference for Czech Republic.
How You'll Help Us Connect the World:
As a key member of the Corporate Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Team, you will support the ongoing review, communication and compliance to the Global EHS Policy. You will also have a significant input to the construction and deployment of the Global EHS Management System (MS).
In the role of Corporate EHS Manager, you will:
- Partner with internal stakeholders to align goals and resources to integrate corporate EHS strategies in the company’s business processes and practices.
- Support internal stakeholders to effectively manage compliance with global, regional, country, state and federal laws and accreditation standards related to environmental, health, safety or others as required.
- Develop metrics to establish baselines, track performance and report progress to site EHS managers, directors and senior leadership.
- Support in developing annual global EHS goals and objectives and communicate these to internal stakeholders, as appropriate.
- Actively participate in analyzing EHS trends to identify potential and future risk and implement programs to help reduce negative impacts based on these trends.
- Coordinate and conduct periodic audits to assess risk, compliance and sustainability performance to global, regional, country and state laws and corporate standards.
- Train leadership, staff and employees on the applicable programs, and their respective responsibilities in carrying out the strategic and tactical goals.
- Generate and maintain Global EHS Standards and ensure compliance at the sites within the scope of responsibility.
- Act as a resource for the interpretation and implementation of the Global EHS Management System and Global EHS Standards as required by the sites within their scope of responsibility.
- Provide guidance and support to the sales and PLM organizations within the company regarding EHS and sustainability matters within potential and agreed sales contracts.
Required Qualifications for Consideration:
- Fluent English, spoken and written with working experience in EHS.
- A completed Bachelor's Degree required.
- Must have a minimum for 5 years EHS experience.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of regional, federal and state EHS laws and regulations and accreditation standards.
- Ability to influence people and interface with people at all levels.
- Self-starting/self-managing, ability to handle diverse situations with limited management direction. Demonstrates ability to think ahead and take action to ensure success.
- Excellent communications skills, both written and oral. Capable of making presentations to audiences, large and small.
- Knowledge of statistics, data collection, analysis, and data presentation.
- Detailed knowledge of International Standards ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
- Good understanding of enterprise-wide management systems and tools.
- Willingness to adapt to rapidly changing environment and new challenges.
- Strong cultural sensitivity to manage relationships with people from all cultures.
- Strong leadership capabilities to deliver results and to build cross-cultural teams.
- Must have a strategic focus.
- Must be willing to travel regionally and globally.
- Working on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends and needs.
- Determine best course of action to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems.
- Ability to make significant departures from traditional approaches to enhance quality or value in existing methods.
- People Management experience along with talent development and coaching skills.
You Will Excite Us If You Have:
- Experience in corporate/global EHS working environment and culture.
- Ideally have a recognized accredited qualification in ISO systems auditing.
- Willingness to continuously develop and increase the EHS knowledge.
- Working experience with Microsoft 365 toolkit, with emphasis on PowerBI, Teams, Planner, SharePoint.
- Working experience with course authoring tools, e-learning platforms, digital adoption platforms or video makers (e.g. Powtoon, Vyond, Articulate).
