NEW Solutions connects experienced workers (ages 55+) with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). These experienced professionals provide administrative, scientific, and technical support to the Environmental Protection Agency through the Senior Environmental Employment (SEE) Program.

Positions listed here do not guarantee employment for any definite period. Enrollment in the Experienced Worker Programs administered by NEW Solutions is temporary. The enrollment relationship between NEW Solutions and the Enrollee is an ?at-will? relationship. This means that an Enrollee is free to terminate enrollment at any time during the enrollment period, and NEW Solutions and the Agency have the right to terminate the relationship with the Enrollee.

PLEASE NOTE: An ?Enrollee? is not a federal employee, nor an employee of NEW Solutions. An ?Enrollee? is a participant in a grant program established through a Cooperative Agreement funded by the agency and administered by NEW Solutions.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 year(s) of experience in Database management/computer science OR BA/BS Degree in Any science degree OR Previously completed training in Database management/computer science

  • GIS/database/computer science experience
  • Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Teams, MS Outlook
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook); Other (GIS - desired but not necessary)
Duties:

Provide technical and administrative support for the Class V UIC shallow program and assist with UIC database management.

  • Assist with implementation of shallow UIC Class V well program: prepare authorization by rule and permit documents; data management, data quality assurance/control; and providing compliance assistance to well owners/operators over the phone.   55%
  • Provide general UIC data entry support and assist with data quality checks and technical support and training to end users.   35%
  • Other Duties as Assigned.   10%

  • Required Agency training, including: info security, record management, etc.
