Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and technically proficient North American Sales Manager to join our team as an individual contributor. This role is pivotal in driving our business growth across North America, particularly within the Amphenol Mobile Connector Solutions business unit. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical understanding of electrical and mechanical requirements, prioritizing mechanical knowledge, and excel at building lasting customer relationships to position AMCS as the optimal choice in the market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to increase market share and achieve sales targets within North America.
- Utilize in-depth technical knowledge of electrical and mechanical components to provide tailored solutions and demonstrate the value proposition of AMCS products.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers by understanding their needs and effectively communicating how AMCS can meet these requirements better than competitors.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities by assessing market trends and customer demands.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and product development teams to ensure customer requirements are timely and accurately addressed.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and product demonstrations to customers and stakeholders.
- Remain knowledgeable about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to ensure AMCS's offerings remain at the forefront of the market.
- Provide feedback to management regarding customer needs, requirements, and sales opportunities.
- Key Markets include:
- eBike, throttle bikes, and electrical motor bikes
- electrical cars
- other electronic products
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field. A focus on Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in sales within the electrical component industry.
- Strong technical understanding of electrical and mechanical components, with a priority on mechanical knowledge.
- Proven track record of successful sales performance and relationship-building with key clients.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and navigate complex sales processes.
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet with customers and attend industry events.
