System Administrator

Kraft Technology Group (KTG) is looking for a full-time System Administrator capable of providing onsite and remote technical support for multiple clients and environments. As a System Administrator for a Managed Services Provider (MSP), you are responsible for investigative triage, documentation, resolution when possible, and enlisting further KTG Technical resources when needed. This position is part of a talented team of system engineers and administrators who are highly customer-focused.

Educational and Experience Requirements

  1. A degree or diploma in Information Technology Management, Business Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field is desired.
  2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical support with a strong technical diagnosis ability.
  3. Minimum of 2 years of Customer Service experience.
  4. At least two basic industry certifications, such CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, or Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) or equivalent. If certifications haven’t been earned prior to the start date, employees must obtain within 6 months.
  5. One advanced industry certification, such as Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), ITIL, Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA), SonicWALL Network Security Basic Administration (CSSA), Fortinet Network Security Expert (NSE), Citrix Certified Associate (CCA), Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert, or VMware Certified Professional.

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Provide ongoing phone support and resolution of IT-related issues involving Microsoft’s core business applications.
  2. Remote Support of various cloud-based solutions such as Office365 and Azure.
  3. Provide Tier 2 troubleshooting support of WAN and LAN connectivity, Firewalls, routers, and Wi-Fi.
  4. Provide professional and positive client communication, set proper client expectations, and maintain appropriate documentation related to all service requests.
  5. Serve as liaison between our clients and their IT vendors to resolve issues.

Additional Responsibilities

  1. Work with the team to deliver customer solutions and service
  2. Help properly dispatch tickets to available engineers
  3. Perform after-hours maintenance and patching as needed.
  4. Rotational on-call schedule

Desired Technical Experience

  1. Previous MSP and/or Help Desk experience highly desired
  2. Azure Cloud experience highly desired
  3. Strong understanding of Windows OS and MacOS
  4. Intermediate knowledge including Network hardware (cabling, routers, switches, etc)
  5. Good understanding of Network Protocols and their meaning.
  6. Experience with Active Directory environments
  7. Experience with Cloud environments
  8. Experience utilizing basic commands within Windows and MacOS
  9. ConnectWise Manage (PSA) and Automate (RMM) Experience
  10. MS Office Suite Experience
