Quality Technician
Summary
Qualified candidates for this position will be the main Quality representative for the production staff. Duties will include product containment, layered process audits, and any other action that protects the integrity of our products and services. This position will work closely with machine operators, electrical testers, Manufacturing Engineers, Quality Engineers, and shift supervisors. An ideal candidate for this position has experience in electrical testing, manufacturing equipment setup/maintenance and is excited by the idea of identifying and solving problems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Support root cause analysis and corrective action projects
- Diagnose failure modes using various methods of detection and analysis
- Collect Test Data and generate recommendations for improvement
- Ability to analyze data for trends, casual factors, and corrective action
- Understand engineering requirements and create First Article Inspection Reports.
- Communicate clearly with manufacturing and engineering about technical issues affecting Quality
- Interact with technical management, technicians, and support personnel to coordinate, recommend, and confer regarding technical activities and progress
- Train new and existing employees on Inspection procedures and best practices
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Associate degree or equivalent experience – minimum 2 years
- Experience in electro-mechanical testing and manufacturing (RF and/or microwave experience preferred)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of network analyzers and spectrum analyzers
- Familiarity with wire/cable harness manufacturing
- Lean Six Sigma experience a plus
- Previous experience in Quality is a plus
