Position: Field Applications Engineer

Location: Nashua, NH or Valley Green, PA

Amphenol High Speed Products Group is the market leader for high speed, high bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom market (Mobile Networks, Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our products help to enable the electronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEMs globally. We have design, sales, and manufacturing locations globally and are currently seeking a Field Applications Engineer to join our Northeast Sales Team.

As a Field Applications Engineer you will interface with our customers, and internal product development, product marketing, and sales teams.

  • Primary engineering customer contact for multiple business units across the ACS High Speed Product Group and Commercial Product Group.
  • Leveraging various product and development teams, lead all technical aspects of the sales cycle.
  • Devise strategies to differentiate our products and solutions from our competitors.
  • Solve complex interconnect problems and technical inquiries.
  • Prepare materials and participate in product presentations.
  • Provide technical marketing support for the development and implementation of Amphenol products.
  • Meet and exceed strategic objectives.
  • Some travel will be required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors in Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years displayed experience providing technical sales support to produce design wins.
  • Experience with modeling tools and Microsoft Office Products

SKILLS:

  • Ability to effectively communicate across the engineering and managerial functions of a business
  • Strong organization and presentation skills: ability to organize and lead focused technical discussion both internally and to customers.
  • High level customer service and ability to build relationships internally and with customers
  • Additional experience in Optics (transceivers, AOC’s) considered an asset.
  • Additional experience in connector and cable standards considered an asset.
  • Modeling tools (Pro E or Solidworks)
  • Microsoft Office Products
