Marketing Internship

Summary

The Marketing Intern will collaborate in developing and executing one or more initiatives, such as marketing campaigns intended for customers, drivers, or other stakeholders, or internal communication campaigns. They will work to execute these initiatives while being closely supported and coached by one or more of our marketing team members. They will get exposure and experience in social media marketing, search engine optimization, inbound and content marketing, outbound campaigns, lead prospecting, asset and information management, communications management, marketing performance metrics, website administration, videography, channel management, event management, and more, all while learning the transportation industry.

Education and Experience

  1. Currently enrolled in or recently graduated with a Bachelor's (BA/BS) program from an accredited four-year college or university, preferably in marketing, sales, business management, communications, or a related field.
  2. A firm understanding of and preferable experience in:
    1. Marketing, digital marketing, social media marketing.
    2. Campaign design and execution, graphic design, and written and or visual storytelling.  
    3. Brand consistency, driving creative decisions that enhance business growth and brand visibility.
  3. Basic Adobe Suite proficiency is preferable.
  4. Proven collaboration and communication skills.
  5. Willingness to ask questions to better understand the discipline.
  6. Experience accepting a challenge and championing it through to completion.
  7. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  8. Must be able to demonstrate a proactive commitment to ATS corporate values and the success of all staff.
  9. Basic skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) required.
  10. Excellent communication skills (written, listening, and verbal).

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Write for internal communications, external campaigns, and beyond.
  2. Basic design tasks for internal communications, external campaigns, etc.
  3. Assist with photography and videography needs – i.e. taking and/or editing headshots, internal videos, video support for social media.
  4. List pulls and data work for prospecting, profiling and internal data clean in excel, internal systems and other data tools.
  5. Will assist with coordinating event planning and communications.
  6. Will work with daily social media support – i.e. assist with graphics, writing, scheduling posts, etc.
  7. Internal administrative tasks – i.e. file organization
  8. Understands and consistently performs in accordance with ATS Mission, Vision, and Values.
  9. Support ATS’ culture by aligning actions, behaviors, performance, and decisions in accordance with the Company’s values as set forth in our All-Employee Competencies.
  10. Complete work responsibilities outside of normal business hours.
  11. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

This position performs work primarily in an office setting.

  1. Constantly in a stationary position and occasionally will move around.
  2. Constantly operates a keyboard and mouse and constantly utilizes a computer monitor(s).
  3. Constantly conversing with internal and external customers in person or via phone system.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • The anticipated hourly pay range for this position is between $18.00 - $20.00.  Hourly pay rate offered is determined by relevant experience, education, certifications, and geographic location as compared to others doing substantially similar work . In addition to the hourly rate of pay, employees may be eligible for performance-based incentives, which can vary depending on individual and/or company performance.
