Join us at Inland Respite, Inc., where we passionately support individuals in the developmentally disabled community! We're looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Intake Coordinator to join our Palm Desert, CA team.

About the Role

As an Intake Coordinator, you'll play a vital role under the guidance of our Operations Supervisor. This nonexempt position is varied and fulfilling, encompassing consumer verification, intakes, engaging home visitations, meticulous record management, and other vital responsibilities contributing to our mission.

What You Will Do

  • Efficiently receive, review, enter, and verify all intake information, ensuring a smooth process for our consumers.
  • Foster ongoing communication with service supervisors, case workers, consumers, regional centers, human resources, and various departments to effectively manage case transitions.
  • Keep contracts and consumer evaluation packets up-to-date annually, ensuring compliance with relevant documentation (CDER, IPP, etc.).
  • Oversee consumer terminations according to company protocol while maintaining an accurate census of active and terminated consumers.
  • Enter and update data on contracts, terminations, and inactive consumers promptly, following our established guidelines.
  • Input essential consumer paperwork (IPP, CDER, reviews, authorizations) into our respite systems immediately.
  • Conduct insightful home visitations and evaluations that create a warm and welcoming family experience.
  • Assign care providers based on family needs, facilitating interviews and following up to ensure satisfaction.
  • Address unreported respite hours, classifying them accurately as "Partial Service" or "No Service."
  • Prepare and maintain necessary monthly reporting materials.
  • Utilize our services-related platforms, delivering top-notch customer service and precise information.
  • Support various administrative functions as needed.
  • Participate actively in quarterly care provider meetings.
  • Attend mandatory meetings with punctuality and enthusiasm.

What You Need

  • A high school diploma or GED is required; an Associate's Degree in Social Work or a related field is preferred (we welcome candidates with 2 years of experience as an equivalent to 1 year of post-secondary education).
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
  • Basic typing skills (30 wpm) and foundational business arithmetic knowledge are essential.
  • Experience in developmental services is highly regarded.
  • A keen eye for detail, exceptional customer service skills, and strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving abilities are critical.
  • Familiarity with the MS Office Suite and cloud-based electronic signature solutions like HelloSign or DocuSign is a plus.
  • A valid California Driver's License is required.
