Training Specialist

GENERAL SUMMARY

Plan and implement employee education and training programs that reflect the strategic plan of the credit union.  Assist with ongoing development of all employees to assure strategic priorities and quality service to members is achieved. Assist with incorporating the credit union's five-star member service in training.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Administer the credit union's new employee training programs by personally creating and/or coordinating presentations and presenting programs.
  • Maintain a working schedule of all credit union training initiatives.
  • Create training activities for interactive participation. 
  • Conduct training sessions for new employees in teller, member services, lending, operations, and other areas of the credit union.
  • Provide orientation training to all employees.
  • Conduct training on new products, policies, and procedures for all staff.
  • Prepare procedural manuals used in conjunction with training needs.
  • Incorporate Member Experience in all training initiatives.
  • Maintain knowledge on all products and services within the credit union.
  • Maintain current knowledge of and compliance with all credit union policies and procedures, including compliance with the Bank Secrecy act and all federal laws and regulations as set forth by the NCUA and other regulatory agencies.
  •  Assist in the development of annual training.
  • Assist with maintaining, updating, and enhancing the e-Learning system periodically to ensure all EFCU created courses and employee records are accurate.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS   

  • Attend seminars, conferences and training courses relating to areas of responsibility.
  • Attend Member Experience training sessions.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

  • Requires professional, well-developed interpersonal skills for communicating with members, employees, and the general public on Credit Union-related matters.
  • Requires thorough knowledge of the Credit Union's policies, procedures, programs, products and services.
  • Requires completion of high school education and at least two years of additional coursework. 
  • Requires at least three years of experience in a financial institution operations or services position.  Training experience is preferred.
  • Requires intermediate mathematical skills (calculations and concepts involving percentages, fractions, decimals, etc.).
  • Intermediate working knowledge of PC applications (Office Suite).
