Contractor Services Supervisor

The Contractor Services Supervisor is responsible for managing daily operations, driving team productivity, and delivering quality service aligned with company vision and values. This role utilizes strong communication skills to foster collaboration with internal stakeholders, provide cross-functional support, and guide the team toward achieving profitability and growth. Key responsibilities include establishing strategies, implementing plans, resolving issues, and performing administrative tasks such as generating reports and verifying documents, all while ensuring clear and effective communication across all levels.  This position works at our east location. 

 

Education and Experience

  1. Associate degree in business, office administration, or related field, and/or a minimum of 2 years of equivalent experience in a customer-driven environment e.g., office administration.
  2. A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience required.
  3. Experience in team building and collaboration with business leaders, 3rd parties, and internal staff.
  4. Outstanding communication, coordination, facilitation, consultation, and conflict resolution skills.
  5. Able to foster a culture of transparency and a sense of purpose among the team and create clear accountabilities and metrics using positive and collaborative methods.
  6. Ability to adapt to high work volumes in a fast-paced environment by demonstrating patience, professionalism and positivity.
  7. Must be proficient and responsive to internal and external business partner’s needs.
  8. Must demonstrate pleasant, helpful, and diplomatic manners, display sound judgment, and be able to make good decisions under pressure.
  9. Must be proficient in responding to internal customer situations and needs as required.
  10. Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.
  11. Strong planning and problem-solving skills; able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner. 
  12. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  13. Must be able to think creatively and provide creative contributions to projects.
  14. Must be able to demonstrate a proactive commitment to ATS corporate values and the success of all staff.
  15. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) required.
  16. Excellent communication skills (written, listening, and verbal).

 

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Facilitate effective cross-functional communication while providing administrative support to Driver Settlements and Contractor Services departments, ensuring clarity and alignment in all tasks.
  2. Collaborate with the manager to drive innovation, process improvements and operational strategies and goals. Clearly articulate goals and ensure team efforts are aligned with objectives while fostering strong internal and external relationships to exceed performance expectations.  
  3. Communicate effectively with teams and stakeholders to ensure company and contractor pay adhere to established pay schedules and contracts.
  4. Assist the Asset Drivers with finance-related matters, providing clear guidance on processes such as interstate toll invoices, work orders and other departmental tasks.
  5. Support contractor drivers with available purchase programs and resolving operational matters with clarity and professionalism.
  6. Act as a primary point of contact to answer Contractor Services questions, delivering accurate information to drivers and internal departments.
  7. Prioritize daily tasks and resources, clearly communicating priorities to team members and minimizing customer impact while escalating items appropriately to management.
  8. Provide ongoing training to new and current employees, ensuring feedback is constructive and delivered in a way that fosters growth, development, and coaches for improvement.
  9. Serve as a communication hub for internal escalations, making decisions within department guidelines and engaging leadership as necessary.
  10. Respond to escalated situations with professionalism, gather necessary information and coordinate follow-up actions with the manager or other leaders.
  11. Deliver effective employee performance management by communicating SMART goals, providing constructive feedback, and coaching team members for improvement.
  12. Collaborate with internal departments to troubleshoot issues, proposing clear and actionable improvements to processes and procedures.
  13. Assist management with the development and clear articulation of new processes to ensure team understanding and adoption.
  14. Consistently model ATS Mission, Vision, and Values through actions and communication, ensuring alignment with company standards.
  15. Support ATS’ culture by aligning actions, behaviors, performance, and decisions in accordance with the Company’s values as set forth in our All-Employee Competencies.
  16. The position may require work responsibilities outside of normal business hours.
  17. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • The anticipated hourly pay range for this position is between $26.50 - $34.00.  Hourly pay rate offered is determined by relevant experience, education, certifications, and geographic location as compared to others doing substantially similar work . In addition to the hourly rate of pay, employees may be eligible for performance-based incentives, which can vary depending on individual and/or company performance.
