Sr. Project Manager
SCI Summary: SCI supports people with disabilities, behavioral challenges, medically complex needs, transitioning youth, the elderly, and other populations using Maryland Department of Health’s Targeted Case Management and Supports Planning work models as well as a concierge level geriatric care management and care partner model.
Position Summary: Under the guidance and mentorship of the Enterprise Project Management Director, the Sr. Project Manager is responsible for the supervision of tasks needed to ensuring project team(s) meet and deliver all scope requirements within schedule and budget planned in partnership between Operations and other organizational business units. On a consistent basis, the Sr. Project Manager must provide clear, concise visibility on what each participant in a project needs to do and enables pathways to complete each step. Working with Enterprise Project Management Director, Sr. Project Manager is provided direction and may seek guidance on the most efficient way to complete the plan. Over the course of a project, the Sr. Project Manager will lead meetings, communicate with team members, monitor progress of the project to keep it on schedule, and will assist the Enterprise Project Management Director to proactively communicate with senior stakeholders

Essential Duties:
- Develop detailed project plans, including defining project scopes, role definition, success criteria, schedules, capacity planning, budgets, and resource allocation and review with Enterprise Project Management Director.
- Follows and guides others in the SCI Enterprise Project Management practices and procedures and the use and organization of project management standard artifacts such as schedules, documents, diagrams, matrices. Participates in the revision and adoption of SCI Enterprise Project Management methodology and procedures.
- Identify and manage potential project risks, business impacts, issues, and dependencies for each project. Work with Enterprise Project Management Director and project team members to develop contingency plans during each phase of the project to ensure project timelines, quality solutions and continuous SCI service delivery.
- Working with Enterprise Project Management Director and project team, develop and manage project implementation plan, activities, end user support, issue response and resolution and progress reporting during go-live. Finalize project documentation, ensure transition to system support teams, and conduct post-project reviews for process improvement and to improve future project delivery outcomes.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, observe work processes, and communicate with leaders and team members to research and analyze information required for successful completion of projects including the development and/or update of procedures.
- Provide process leadership to the project teams throughout initiatives’ lifecycle from concept to implementation and closure, including mentorship on best practices and project management standards
- Generate custom reports (e.g., project status, budget, metrics, and resource allocation), and create standard and customized dashboards to produce key insights for executive and leadership reporting and decision-making
- Ensure effective communication and change management to increase the adoption rate and effectiveness of new business solutions
- Escalate project risk and options to mitigate as appropriate
- Lead multiple mid-size to enterprise-wide projects concurrently following project management standards
- Model and promote organizational philosophies of person–centeredness and shared leadership in all interactions with internal and external stakeholders
- Participate in meetings and training sessions that offer learning opportunities and that promote and enhance skills and professional development
- Ensure that assigned organizational project objectives are met
- Perform all duties as described, and others as required, using the foundation of the organization’s philosophies and values

- Bachelors Degree preferred
Experience Required:
- 6 year minimum project management experience

Physical Demands: Generally, presents standard office environment. Must be able to remain in a stationary position >95% of the time. Continually operates a computer, keyboard and mouse, and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, printer, and mobile Smartphone device. Constantly positions self to comfortably maintain computer equipment. May occasionally be required to move about in an office setting or position office equipment weighing between 10-25 pounds. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Ability to operate a motor vehicle. The person in this position frequently communicates with other people. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
IT Roles must be able to position self to maintain computers and equipment, including under desks and in server room(s). Frequently moves equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
