The Agricultural Conservation Experienced Services (ACES) Program offers unique opportunities in Scientific, Technical, and Agricultural support for individuals aged 55 and over to support the Department of Agriculture?s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) through a grant administered program awarded to National Experienced Workforce Solutions (NEW Solutions). This is a unique program where your talents, expertise, and experience will truly be valued. The ACES program provides an opportunity to work side-by-side with NRCS staff that are doing important work every day.

Qualifications:Minimum of 10 year(s) of experience in developing and presenting administrative information for local supervisors, executive team members, and customers. OR AA Degree in 30 plus units at community college. - NRCS Certified Conservation Planner; Valid State Driver's license.
- Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel
- Conservation Desktop (CD) and Conservation Assessment Ranking Tool (CART)
Duties:This position provides outreach and administrative assistance to deliver NRCS conservation programs at the NRCS-Ca State Office. The Admin Tech/Management Analysis shall possess practical knowledge of administrative functions and outreach to help managers, employees, and agriculture producers protect natural resource concerns. The Admin Tech/Management Analysis must be able to initiate and complete these responsibilities with limited supervision. - ?Under the direction of the ASTC programs; provide administrative support and recommendations and implementation of Farm BillPrograms. This may include but is not limited to, program application support, case file management, and general administrative activities. 30%
- Assists in providing training on Concur and WebTa and other administrative programs to support NRCS-CA state office staff. 30%
- Assists in performing quality assurance reviews of agreements and work conducted by state office staff as directed by supervisor to support program delivery. 20%
- Advise,mentor guide and training to state and area staff on adminstrative function and following up with employees and customer across the state. 20%
Other:- Annual information system security, anti-harassment, and civil rights training.
- Needed training will be available.
- Travel Requirements: This will be local travel and a government vehicle should be available for these trips.
