The Agricultural Conservation Experienced Services (ACES) Program offers unique opportunities in Scientific, Technical, and Agricultural support for individuals aged 55 and over to support the Department of Agriculture?s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) through a grant administered program awarded to National Experienced Workforce Solutions (NEW Solutions). This is a unique program where your talents, expertise, and experience will truly be valued. The ACES program provides an opportunity to work side-by-side with NRCS staff that are doing important work every day.

Qualifications:Minimum of 15 year(s) of experience in Grants and Agreements, Budget, Financial Management OR BA/BS Degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field. - Valid State Driver?s license.
- Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel
- FMMI, ezFedGrants, SNOW, Guardian, G-Invoicing, PowerPoint
Duties:This position is responsible for providing support to NHQ Above States Division with Grants and Agreements Support. This will include working with the program manager or technical support to write the Statement of Work, assisting in completing the agreements package and submitting to Grants and Agreements Division (GAD). In addition, monitoring to ensure the agreement is fully executed. It includes working with GAD to resolve any issues. Assisting and documenting the Standard Operating Procedures, updating team templates. This position will also assist in gathering audit support and other financial related transactions. - Review grants and agreements submitted to the inbox, make revisions, track items and status 20%
- Assist in creating operating procedures for team to improve workflow, efficiency and communication 20%
- Provide support and assistance to Deputy Areas and states to complete agreement packages for submission to GAD. 30%
- Assist Financial Resource Specialists and grants and agreements specialists with expired Period of Performance Unliquidated Obligations (ULO) 20%
- Assist with gathering required data to support audits, budgets or other financial-related transactions 10%
Other:- annual information system security, anti-harassment, and civil rights training.

- Travel Requirements: Occasionally to satisfy the duties of the position.
- Overnight travel: Perhaps occasional travel to a local State/Field office
