Director of Information Technology
Position Summary:
The IT Director is responsible for oversight and the strategic direction of the organization's IT Department. This person will be responsible for implementation of technology solutions, processes, and procedures which support the Company's business operations. This role is crucial in ensuring the security, efficiency, and scalability of our IT infrastructure, as well as driving innovation to meet the evolving needs of our team and clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives
- Lead the company's pursuit of its successful SOC 2 Type II audit and other internal IT projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget
- Ensure the security, reliability, and scalability of the Company's IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and hardware solutions
- Develop and maintain robust cybersecurity measures to protect company data and systems
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards
- Define policies, processes, and procedures for IT across the organization
- Manage internal IT resources and vendor relationships
- Provide leadership, management, and accountability for the internal IT team, fostering a culture of excellence which reflects the company's Core Values (below)
- Collaborate with executive leadership and other management team members to identify and prioritize technology initiatives
- Evaluate emerging technologies and best practices to identify opportunities for innovative solutions and/or process improvements which enhance business operations
- Be accountable for development of the internal IT Department budget and long-term planning, in collaboration with executive leadership
- Be a contributing member of various strategic and operational teams including, but not limited to, the Business Continuity Team, Information Security Management System Team, and Technology Steering Committee Team
- Oversee security and IT training initiatives for company employees
- Responsible for understanding, staying updated on, and abiding by the Employee Handbook as written.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Minimum of three days in office
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills
- Thrives under pressure, prioritizes quickly and efficiently, and is results-driven
- Ability to think strategically and execute effectively
- High level of accuracy and strong troubleshooting skills
- Strong team player and willingness to mentor junior team members
Education/Experience:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in IT or related technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering)
- Proven experience in a senior IT Leadership role, with a minimum of 5 years managing people, 10 years systems administration experience, or equivalent proven knowledge
- Experience with cybersecurity and compliance standards is strongly preferred
- Experience installing and/or maintaining the following:
- Knowledge and understanding in the Microsoft 365 ecosystem and the Microsoft Power Platform is required
- Microsoft Azure Virtual Machines (Data Center Server, Azure Networking, Azure SQL, etc.) is strongly preferred
- Knowledge in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, Warehouse Management systems (WMS), Customer Relationship Management systems (CRM) and Professional Service Automation systems (PSA) and the understanding of how they work together is essential
- Understanding of networking technologies including Extreme Networks, HP Aruba, and Watchguard preferred
- Wide Area Networking (VPNs, DNS, etc.)
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Direct and support the internal IT Department in all aspects of employee hiring, termination, learning management and skills assessments, reviews, and compensation discussions. Collaborate with employees on career development for employee success.
