We are seeking a talented Maintenance Assistant to assist with property maintenance and repairs of our luxury assisted living community. In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of property maintenance, including plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting, furniture assembly, snow removal, equipment repair, preventative maintenance. Having HVAC experience is considered a plus. At times, you may come into contact with residents, resident families, other guests and team members, and we expect you to maintain a friendly, courteous and positive attitude at all times, so that these encounters are pleasant and professional. The care, attention to detail and superior customer service you bring to your maintenance responsibilities are fundamental to the quality of life and the general wellbeing of our residents every day.

TEMPORARY - Full time schedule. Sunday - Thursday 9am-5pm. The positions is a temporary position, anticipated to last from 3-5 months with a start date in mid January.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills/ qualifications:

• Previous maintenance/repair experience and skilled in one or many of the areas noted above
• Experience working in a hotel, apartment complex, residential community, assisted living community or skilled nursing facility is a plus
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Kind, patient and compassionate demeanor when encountering residents, management, family members and guests
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize workloads and juggle many hats at the same time
• Must have a stable work history and solid references
• A minimum of a high school diploma is required, but some college or advanced training is preferred
