Foodservice National Account Manager

Dessert Holdings is looking for a highly motivated and results-driven Foodservice National Account Manager to manage and grow relationships with mid-tier restaurant chain accounts and Group Purchasing Organizations.  This role is responsible for driving sales, developing strategic partnerships, and ensuring customer satisfaction across key national accounts within the foodservice industry.

This position will be based in a home office in a location that can support the expected travel of at least 50%. 

The Day-to-Day:

  • Develop and execute a strategy to achieve sales targets and grow revenue for restaurant chains and GPOs, identifying new business opportunities and key areas for expansion within existing accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers to drive long-term partnerships.
  • Lead negotiations and collaborate with cross-functional teams to secure contracts and agreements in alignment with company goals, and to ensure consistent delivery of services and solutions.
  • Drive sales performance through proactive account management, new product introductions and cuttings, and program development. 
  • Provide regular performance updates and reports to senior leaders on sales, trends, and account status.
  • Act as the voice of the customer to provide feedback and insights into customer preferences, market trends, and the competitive landscape.
  • Create and execute menu ideations for national restaurant chains, bringing unique plating techniques and ideas to the operators.
  • Provide excellent customer service to respond to customer issues, troubleshoot issues that may arise, provide insights to culinary for successful menu launches, and provide high levels of customer satisfaction.

What You Bring to the Team:

  • At least 5 to 7 years of experience in national account management, business development, or sales within the foodservice industry.
  • A culinary background is strongly preferred
  • Proven experience managing sales accounts with large restaurant chains and/or GPOs, and ability to develop and execute business plans to drive results
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
  • Strong understanding of foodservice industry trends, key players, and distribution channels
