Safety & Security Administrative Assistant

POSITION SUMMARY:  The Safety & Security Administrative Assistant is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the Safety & Security Office. This is a support role to the Department’s Leadership team through a variety of tasks requiring strong organizational and communications in a confidential and timely manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • The Safety & Security Administrative Assistant will provide support in ensuring all organizational information/collateral is handled promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure proper transmission of confidential materials within and outside the department.
  • Ensure proper execution of assigned duties.
  • Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and reputation. Knowledgeable of, adhering to, promoting, and enforcing all policies and procedures of Big Cedar Lodge.
  • Serve as an ambassador to the Big Cedar Lodge Safety & Security Department, interacting with guests and providing genuine Ozark Hospitality in every interaction.
  •  Track, monitor, and process Lost & Found items accurately and in a timely, professional manner.
  • Assist with access control systems.
  • Assist with the monitoring and retrieval of CCTV surveillance feeds. All other duties as requested by your management team.
  • ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Degree Required:    High School Diploma or Equivalent

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

  • Keyboard at 45 words per minute or better. Possess strong organizational skills.
  •  Ability to prioritize daily work tasks,
  • Possess strong critical thinking skills; be able to identify and resolve problems promptly, gather and analyze information objectively, use reasoning even when handling emotional situations.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Be proficient with spreadsheets and have a prominent level of proficiency with other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Be a collaborator with a cheerful outlook, initiative, tact, and the ability to exercise sound judgment.
  •  Must be able to work at an elevated level of administrative competence with minimal supervision.
  • Solid understanding of technology, i.e., Office Equipment and communications equipment.
  • Be an effective communicator; able to write and speak clearly and persuasively in all situations, uses good listening skills, remains natural.
  • Possess a positive and energetic attitude, the ability to maintain a professional demeanor in stressful situations.
  • Have experience in working with a high volume of employees

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT

Performs tasks and duties under direct supervision, using well-defined policies and procedures. Work is reviewed by supervisor. Limited opportunity exists for exercising independent judgment and decision making.
