PolicyWorks is a subsidiary of the Iowa Credit Union League (ICUL), and we are seeking a full-time Political Action and Grassroots Coordinator to join our team! This individual will support the ICUL’s government affairs efforts by coordinating grassroots advocacy programs, expanding advocacy engagement among credit union staff and members, and growing fundraising for the Credit Union Political Action Committee (CUPAC). What You'll Be Doing

  • Oversee grassroots engagement of credit union staff and members, manage the grassroots database. and work with lobby team on call-to-action efforts.
  • Execute CUPAC fundraising and engage credit unions to position CUPAC as a top 5 PAC in Iowa.
  • Coordinate existing CUPAC events and research new fundraising ideas.
  • Maintain and grow positive relationships with ICUL staff and Iowa credit unions by visiting branches across the state and attending trainings.
  • Respond to questions from credit union members in a timely manner.

Who You Are

  • Graduate with bachelor’s or associate degree.
  • Prior experience with grassroots advocacy, political campaigns or fundraising preferred but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including leadership, negotiation, and teamwork.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, including public speaking.
  • Time management and coordination skills.
  • Experience with CRM database systems and technologies.
  • Passionate for advocacy and fundraising.
