Art Center Education Coordinator
Come join the team at the accredited and historic Muscatine Art Center! We are seeking a special person to fill the role of Art Education Coordinator in this beautiful facility. Duties include planning and coordinating classes, programs, and events for both children and adults. The position supervises studio instructors and volunteers and may serve as an art studio instructor. Salary starts at $23.15/hour along with excellent benefits including IPERS, health and dental insurance, vacation, sick leave, and paid holidays.
The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in a related field, the ability to work with people of all ages, the ability to organize, plan, and carry out a wide variety of art classes, programs, workshops, and other special events. An understanding of art history and instruction are desired. Work schedule varies and some evening and weekend hours are required. A physical and drug screen are required post job offer. Residency within 30 air miles of Muscatine city limits is required within 6 months of employment.
