Director of Properties
Position Summary:
A private Family Office is seeking an experienced Director of Properties to lead the management of a diverse portfolio of luxury residential homes.
In this role, you will oversee a team of Property and Estate Managers, develop strategies to drive operational efficiency, and ensure high-quality service delivery. You will work closely with the property team, communicate directly with principals, and collaborate with senior leadership to align property operations with company objectives.
This position is based in Boston, MA, with travel required throughout New England and Southern Florida.

Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of 3 direct reports and oversee other estate and property staff
- Oversee daily and ongoing work orders and projects on Asana.
- Conduct regular property inspections and manage preventative maintenance schedules, ensuring all requirements are met and tracked.
- Direct property management scheduling and resource allocation to ensure effective and efficient execution and completion of tasks.
- Manage the property inspection process.
- Manage and coordinate transition work between project and property team (project decommissioning).
- Manage, update, and track property preventative maintenance requirements and schedules.
- Maintain property databases, maintenance files, team data, SOPs, and enhance transparency and efficiency.
- Manage vendors and all aspects of those relationships to ensure success.
- Prepare, update, and distribute monthly reports (or as requested).
- Act as liaison with stakeholders for all utilities and home services.
- Prepare for and participate in monthly meetings with other teams.
- Develop and maintain emergency plans for all properties.
- Lead special projects to enhance efficiency, software application usage, and team performance.
- Provides feedback and coaching.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in a similar role
- Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred.
- Proven leader and a valuable business partner
- Naturally discreet with the ability to maintian confidentiality
- Strong problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, OneDrive, SharePoint. Experience with Asana or similar software a plus. Adept at learning new technology interfaces and software
- Experience in design and construction process and documents
- Exceptional time management, organizational skills, and communication skills
- Positive, proactive, and adaptable with a self-directed work style.
- Experience in emergency response planning and crisis management for residential properties.
- Driver's license and legal authorization required to work in the US.
Schedule:
Generally, Monday to Friday, business hours with flexibility to work extended hours and weekends as requested.
Compensation:
Base compensation of $190,000 - $220,000 offered, depending on experience.
