Southeastern Equipment is a rapidly expanding heavy equipment looking for a territory salesperson with a hunter mentality that specializes in asking for the business and earning customer respect. (Counties in this territory include: Jackson, Washtenaw, Branch, Hillsdale, Lenawee, Monroe). 

Territory Sales Representative - Novi, MI

Compensation: $75,000 - $150,000 per year (Base Salary + Commission)

Southeastern Equipment, a rock-solid, family-owned equipment dealership established in 1957, is looking for a dynamic Territory Sales Representative to join our team. With branches in Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan, Indiana, and West Virginia, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional service and a wide range of equipment and attachments across 88 lines. 

Position Overview: 

We are seeking a motivated Territory Sales Representative to manage and grow our Detroit area territory. This is a hybrid position, allowing you to work from your location while actively engaging with customers in your territory. You will play a crucial role in driving new business generation and maintaining relationships with established clients. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets. 

  • Hunt for new business opportunities and generate new customer leads. 

  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients. 

  • Work closely with and report directly to the Regional Sales Manager to develop new growth strategies. 

  • Represent and promote Southeastern Equipment's diverse range of equipment and attachments. 

Expected Sales Targets: 

  • 1st Year Sales Volume: $1 million 

  • 5th Year Sales Target: $6 million 

Qualifications: 

  • Proven CRM experience and exceptional customer service skills. 

  • Experience with equipment in agriculture, earthmoving, aerial, and industrial sectors. 

  • Post high school education preferred (2 or 4-year degree or a combination of education and experience). 

  • Physical ability to sit, stand, pull, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs with/without assistance. 

  • Valid, unrestricted, and unrevoked driver's license. 

  • Strong growth mindset, motivation, and drive to take complete ownership over the territory. 

Compensation and Benefits: 

  • Total Compensation: $75,000 - $150,000 per year, including a competitive base salary and commission based on sales performance. 

  • Commission Structure: Based on achieving sales volume and margin attainment between $1 million to $5 million.
