Position Summary: Manager of Accounting/Finance

Location:  Nashua, New Hampshire

Work Schedule: 3 days/week on-site

We are currently looking for an Accounting and Finance Manager to join our team in Nashua, NH.

This dynamic role offers the opportunity to lead global compliance efforts, manage critical financial processes, and drive continuous improvements in accounting efficiency and accuracy. This is a key role in reviewing reconciliations, ensuring compliance, and preparing for audits, all while collaborating with a talented team. Additionally, you'll have the chance to support various accounting operations and make a significant impact on the company's financial health.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage shared service accounting team to ensure accurate and timely production of monthly, quarterly, and annual corporate reporting requirements, monthly forecasts, and annual budget.
  • Ensure deadlines are met and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
  • Continuously evaluate accounting processes and implement improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy of shared service team (AR, AP, Capital and Intercompany).
  • Ownership over accurate and timely reporting of revenue-related accounts under ASC 606. Review customer contracts to ensure continuous compliance.
  • Manage bookings and backlog reporting and reconciliation process.
  • Oversee development and execution of global SOX 404 compliance including documentation and performance of management's testing of internal controls. Partner with the internal process owners, internal and external auditors, and other stakeholders in support of the company's internal controls and execution of overall SOX compliance.
  • Review monthly reconciliations, credit worthiness of prospective and existing customers, monthly cash collection goal and uncollectable account analysis.
  • Work closely with ERP administrators and business process engineers to respond to financial system related concerns.
  • Hire, manage, and professionally coach shared service accounting team of nine individuals and annual intern(s).
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and related software contract renewals.
  • Interface directly with global resources across all business units.
  • Assist in gathering shared service related documentation for semi-annual 'hard close' process.
  • Prepare for and manage internal/external audits, including liaising with auditors and addressing audit findings effectively.
  • Project manage and assist in gathering supporting documentation for quarterly and annual corporate tax requests.
  • Function as back-up for other Finance and Accounting functions during busy periods or absences.
  • Support other accounting operation initiatives as needed.

EDUCATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or equivalent work experience of 6+ years or Master's degree with equivalent work experience of 4+ years
  • CPA preferred
  • Experience in staff oversight to effectively direct, supervise, train, mentor and motivate staff
  • Strong knowledge and experience with US GAAP and internal controls
  • Experience with financial audits and compliance
  • Microsoft Excel experience at intermediate level with focus on pivot tables, formulas and formatting
  • Experience with accounting system Microsoft AX Dynamics a plus
  • Ability to work with accuracy in a fast-paced environment, prioritize assignments, and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Ability to learn quickly when facing new situations
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Self-motivated and proactive individual that is detail oriented and maintains a strong work ethic
  • Interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to work effectively on a team and with external partners
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across functions and levels of the organization
