Receptionist/Customer Service Position – Full Time – Maple Valley WA

Our Team at Wilderness Animal Hospital is looking to add a Customer Service/Receptionist to our team. Two years' experience is required. Wilderness is located in Maple Valley, Washington. We are a fast-paced 6-doctor general practice, open Monday through Saturday. Work/Life balance is a priority.  We have a beautiful hospital for our clients, patients, and team members.   

The ideal customer service/receptionist would create outstanding patient/client experiences.  Giving each patient WOW service by always doing the right thing.   The ability to communicate with the team members and clients is crucial for outstanding patient care. Our Customer Service/Receptionists are an important part of our hospital team. We pride ourselves on having a positive team environment, professional and experienced support staff, and solid leadership.  

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Greet and welcome clients and their pets with a warm and friendly demeanor 

  • Manage appointment schedules and handle client inquiries both in-person and over the phone 

  • Process payments and maintain accurate daily reports 

  • Ensure the reception area is clean and organized 

  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and inventory management 

  • Communicate effectively with veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and other team members 

  • High school diploma or equivalent 

  • Friendly and outgoing personality – comfortable meeting new people 

  • Previous experience in a customer service or receptionist role, preferably in a veterinary or medical setting 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail 

  • Ability to multitask and handle a busy work environment 

  • Proficient in computer use and familiarity with veterinary practice management software is a plus 

  • A genuine love for animals and a compassionate attitude 

  • Competitive hourly rate + bonus potential ($17.00-$20.00 DOE)
