About NEW Solutions For over 25 years, National Experienced Workforce Solutions (NEW Solutions) has specialized in connecting experienced workers (ages 55+) with full-time and part-time job opportunities that support the critical missions of Federal Agencies across the United States. Bureau of Land Management (BLM) NEW Solutions connects experienced workers (ages 55+) with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). These experienced professionals provide administrative, scientific, technical, and other professional skills that support to the Bureau of Land Management through the Experienced Services Program (ESP). This is a remote position. It supports the Bureau of Land Management HQ 700 Office. ? BLM ESP positions are meant to provide temporary, project-based support. This position is currently funded for an estimate of 2,233 hours. ? A background security investigation may be required prior to the start date. Only those positions with 30+ hours per week are eligible for health insurance benefits; all positions will accrue sick leave. ? The experienced workers participating in the Program are referred to as ?Enrollees? and are not employees of the BLM or NEW Solutions. NEW Solutions is the ESP non-governmental organization responsible for administrative aspects of the program, and the Enrollees work under BLM direction to assist the Agency staff in carrying out their mission. BLM ESP Enrollees benefit from the opportunity to keep technical skills current; to access new training opportunities; to engage in gainful project-based positions; and to undertake meaningful tasks using their experience and talent to contribute to the environment, the national economy, and their own financial security.

Qualifications:

BA/BS Degree

  • 15+ years of experience in Policy and Strategic Planning
  • Experience required with Windows, MS Excel, MS Word, MS SharePoint, MS Teams, MS PowerPoint
Duties:

Support BLM HQ 700 Leadership in efforts related to implementing DOI and BLM policy, streamlining processes within the directorate, strategic planning, and broad support for BLM responses. Assigned projects will vary, offering complexity and engagement. Work may be related to, but not limited to, tracking assignments, project coordination, drafting documents, meeting facilitation, and communicating through teams, emails, and in-person meetings. The enrollee will join a team of advisors who work together and support the BLM, the directorate, and each other.
