Plumber

Summary:  To perform preventative maintenance and repairs on plumbing fixtures, lift stations pumps, pools and pipe in a timely and efficient manner to provide for the guests and associates safety and satisfaction.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1.   Maintain, install and repair all plumbing fixtures on the resort or in a company owned house.

2.   Maintain, install and repair all lift station pumps 

3.   Become familiar with pool waste treatment plant operation. 

4.   Provide technical assistance to General Maintenance when necessary. 

5.   Solder and use pipe-threaded PVC and black iron pipe in accordance with local, state and OSHA requirements.

6.   Aquire a working knowledge of the Lodge and facilities to respond appropriately to guest questions, as required.

7.   Keep supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems, or unusual matters of significance coming to her/his attention so prompt action can be taken when appropriate.

8.   Will perform other duties as required.

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:  Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills:  Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:  Missouri class E or Arkansas P designated driver's license and a safe driving record is required. To successful complete a Missouri Propane Gas CEPT Basic Training course.

Other Skills and Abilities:  The ability to work well with a team, to prioritize, a sense of urgency and a real concern for guest satisfaction is required.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
