Painter
Summary: Responsible for the preparation, painting, refinishing and application of paint on all surfaces, both interior and exterior, to enhance the appearance and longevity of the facility in a manner that will not inconvenience guests and associates.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Prepare, apply and clean up all types of finishes including, but not
limited to, paints(latex, oil, acrylic, etc.) stains, varnishes and
sealers following prescribed safety regulations and using all safety
equipment necessary on all surfaces.
2. Prepare, apply and clean up all types of vinyl and paper goods
following prescribed safety regulations and using all safety
equipment necessary.
3. Prepare, apply and clean up all types of tile and flooring,
including, but not limited to; quarry glazed, slate, ceramic and
parquet, following prescribed safety equipment
4. Follow all safety regulations, federal, state and local, in the
handling, storage, use and disposal of paints, finishes, adhesives
and their containers.
5. Keep an on-going list of projects "to do" and projects completed and
provide a weekly written update and recommendation list of material
and supply needs.
6. Acquire a working knowledge of Lodge and facilities to respond
appropriately to guest questions as required.
7. Prepare reports, as requested, to develop a more informative data
base for improved management decision making and critical evaluation
of work activities.
8. Keep immediate supervisor promptly informed of all problems or
unusual matters of significance coming to her/his attention, so
prompt corrective action can be taken when appropriate.
9. Will perform other duties as required.

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts
such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Missouri class E or Arkansas P designated driver's license and a safe driving record is required.
Other Skills and Abilities: The ability to work well with a team, to prioritize, a sense of urgency and a real concern for guest satisfaction is required.
