Rockets and Missiles Subject Matter Expert (SME)
TecMaster's Inc. requires a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support Strategic Operational Rockets and Missiles (STORM) Project Office International Programs and Foreign Military Sales.
Location: Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, Alabama
Experience and Skills
Required:
- 15 years minimum experience
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical field
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance
- Travel will be required.
Desired:
- Major weapon systems life cycle acquisition process experience
- Military experience a plus
Tasks to be performed:
- Provide technical support as required for FMS cases, General International Procurement Request (GIPR) requests, country requests, and country initial inquiries for all launchers and munitions associated with the STORM PMO and for non-US or non-STORM managed items such as tactical vehicles, command and control systems, radio sets, and intercoms. Support includes technical review on documentation supporting potential FMS cases and GIPR's
- Coordinate between Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and countries to determine what hardware and software integration and manufacturing/installation efforts are required. The contractor shall support integration efforts for International Programs as required
- Provide Subject Matter Expert to support the Office of the Director, Office of the Operations Cell Lead and new business for FMS and Cooperative Programs. The contractor shall mentor and provide technical support to the IP Directorate in the development and execution of FMS cases and Cooperative Programs coordination. Assists in technical evaluations for a Total Package Approach (TPA) for High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS), Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS), and the MLRS Family of Guided Missiles and Rockets on FMS cases
- Provide Operations Cell Lead Coordination and performs FMS technical support and analytical functions for the International Programs Directorate. The contractor shall assist in preparing daily, weekly, monthly reports and actions, assist with preparing and reviewing memorandums and briefings. The contractor shall provide coordination for SACO and other IP Directorate communications. The contractor shall perform IP related data research, collection, compilation, organization and data analyses. The contractor shall provide technical support during government and contractor program reviews for the resolution of potential issues.
- Provide International Programs engineering Subject Matter Expert in support of IP Office of the Director and IP Team Members. The contractor shall provide expert support in Command and Control (C2) requirements to include designing and writing digital message protocols, C2 integration efforts, interface with C2 contractors, represent IP Directorate in technical meetings. The contractor shall provide draft SOWs, CDRLs, GWAs and requirements planning and monitoring in
- Support of IP customers contractor efforts. The contractor shall analyze engineering issues and assess the impact on IP products and deliveries. The contractor shall support new case development research on radio systems specific to a country, analyze radio compatibilities and identify integration issues. The contractor shall research country unit organization and equipment to provide draft notional MLRS unit organization and major end items and provide recommendations of test and training equipment. The contractor shall draft IP responses to engineering and technical questions, and input to IP engineering related presentations, and information papers. The contractor shall coordinate IP country customer future communications requirements with future US Army planned requirements defined by the Project Manager, Tactical Radios and MLRS, Training and Doctrine Command Capability manager (TCM) and the STORM
SME Must be able to work independently and be able to independently organize and conduct analyses/research at the task level.
