Field Applications Engineer
The Role
Amphenol Aerospace Operations is seeking a Field Applications Engineer to join the Business Development Team, covering the East Coast Sales Territory.
The Field Applications Engineer will engage with customers in technical discussions to generate new business opportunities.
The key responsibilities of the Field Applications Engineer include, but are not limited to:
- Engage with product marketing, sales and customers to quickly generate product design solutions
- Build responsive technical relationships with our customers
- Data analytics – market and technology research
- General understanding of internal and vendor manufacturing capabilities
- Provide input for product manufacturing and testing requirements
- Interface with customers and vendors to assure conformance to customer requirements
- Interpret customer and internal drawings and 3D files
- Ability to communicate conceptual designs to customers and internal manufacturing
- Review customer documents for compliance with AAO requirements
- Understand financial cost / pricing of AAO products
- Must have ability to communicate design advantages of Amphenol products to customers and communicate the customers’ needs to internal design and manufacturing groups
- Must be capable of redefining designs to customer requirements
Salary: $61,500 - $85,000
The Person
The key skills and qualities of a Field Applications Engineer at Amphenol Aerospace Operations:
- Should have the ability to work with CAD and ProE applications for design
- Requires an ability to work with internal and external cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams
- B.S degree in engineering, mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering preferred
- Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally, average of 25-50% travel
- Ability to work in a desk / office setting
